Terms of Service
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Paide ("we", "us") covering your use of the Paide app and service. By using Paide, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Paide.
1. What Paide is
Paide helps you keep track of recurring bills, income and subscriptions, set reminders and record payments you've made. Paide is a record-keeping tool:
- It doesn't make, send or process payments, and it doesn't connect to your bank or other accounts.
- It doesn't give financial, tax or legal advice.
- Reminders are a convenience. You remain responsible for paying your bills on time.
2. Accounts
You can use Paide without an account. Syncing and sharing require one. You must give a valid email address and keep your password secure, and you're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to create an account.
Your data is encrypted with keys derived from your password. If you lose access to your account, we may not be able to recover your data.
3. Plans and purchases
- Free: up to 5 active items, stored on your device.
- Unlock: a one-time purchase that removes the item limit on your devices.
- Paide Sync: an auto-renewing subscription that adds syncing between devices, backup and sharing.
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
If your subscription ends, your data stays on your devices and on our servers, but syncing and sharing stop until you subscribe again. We may change prices or plan features, and we'll tell you before a price change affects your subscription.
4. Your content
What you enter in Paide belongs to you. You give us only the permission needed to store and sync it for you. Because your items are encrypted on your device, we can't see them.
When you share an item, the people you share it with can see it, and if you give them write access, change it. You're responsible for who you share with.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Paide. For example, don't:
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or our systems, without permission;
- interfere with or overload the service, or try to get around plan limits;
- use Paide to harass others or for anything illegal.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
6. Ending your use
You can stop using Paide at any time and request deletion of your account as described in our Privacy Policy. We may stop offering Paide, or part of it. If we shut down syncing, we'll give reasonable notice so you can keep your data on your device.
7. Disclaimers
Paide is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that Paide will be uninterrupted or error-free, that reminders will always be delivered, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own records of anything important.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including late fees, missed payments or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Paide is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using Paide after a change, you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
11. Apple App Store terms
If you got Paide from the Apple App Store, you also agree that:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Paide or its content.
- Your license to use Paide is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Paide.
- If Paide fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for Paide.
- Apple isn't responsible for handling any claims relating to Paide, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property claims.
- You confirm you aren't located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and aren't on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
