Paide

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

The short version:

This policy explains what information the Paide app and service ("Paide", "we", "us") collect, how it's used, and the choices you have.

1. Using Paide without an account

Without an account, everything you enter is stored only on your device. We don't receive it. If you buy the one-time Unlock, the purchase is handled by Apple or Google, and our purchase provider (RevenueCat, see section 4) receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase record so the app can confirm the unlock.

2. Information we collect when you create an account

Account information

Your bills, income and subscriptions

If you subscribe to Paide Sync, the items and payment records you create are encrypted on your device with keys only you (and people you share with) hold. We store the encrypted data so it can sync between your devices. We can't decrypt it.

To make sync work, some information about each item is stored without encryption: an item ID, its type (bill, income or subscription), whether it's active or archived, its reminder setting, version number, and when it was created, updated and synced.

Sharing

When you share an item, we store who it's shared with, their access level, and a copy of the item's key encrypted so only that person can open it. People you share with can see your display name and avatar, and the shared item.

Technical information

Like any internet service, our servers and network provider process your IP address and basic request information (such as time and the request made) to deliver the service, keep it secure and troubleshoot problems.

3. How we use information

Reminders are scheduled on your device. We don't send push notifications through our servers.

4. Service providers

We share only what each provider needs to do its job:

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, but the contents of your items are encrypted and we can't decrypt them.

5. Where your data is stored

Our servers are located in the United States. If you use Paide from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and synced data until you delete your account. If your subscription ends, your synced data isn't deleted, so it's there if you subscribe again. When you delete your account, we delete your account information and the items you own from our servers. Items other people shared with you remain theirs.

7. Deleting your account and your rights

You can delete your account by emailing support@paideapp.com from the address on your account. Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to how it's used. To make a request, contact us at the address above. We'll respond within the time required by law.

8. Security

Your item data is end-to-end encrypted, connections use HTTPS, and passwords are hashed. No system is perfectly secure, but we designed Paide so that even a breach of our servers wouldn't expose the contents of your items.

Because your data is encrypted with keys derived from your password, we may not be able to recover it if you lose access to your account.

9. Children

Paide isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email.
